Register your Application

Learn how to register your application for use.

You register your application in the Solution Provider Portal, which is the central hub that you use to manage your Selling Partner API (SP-API) applications. You must be a primary account user to complete registration.

As of April 2022, public and private applications are subject to authorization limits and restrictions. For more information, refer to Authorization Limits.

To register your application:

  1. Sign in to the Solution Provider Portal using your developer credentials.

  2. On the top navigation, select Develop Apps.

  3. On the Developer Central page, select Add new app client.

    To locate Add new app client in Seller Central or Vendor Central, use these steps:

  4. Complete the form.

    If a Sellers check box and a Vendors check box appear after you choose the API type, select Sellers, Vendors, or both, depending on the type of selling partner your application is for. The roles you can apply for depend on your selection.
