Amazon’s VAT Calculation Service provides sellers with VAT calculation services and invoicing functionality. By enrolling in our VAT Calculation Service, Amazon Business sellers will also be able to offer VAT exclusive prices to Amazon Business customers and will have the Downloadable VAT Invoice badge for their offers, increasing the visibility of their products on Amazon Business. Additionally, for Amazon Business sellers that are located outside of the EU and ship goods directly from their non-EU location to customers located in the EU (acting as the importer of records), a Downloadable Receipt Badge will be displayed on such offers.
Sellers can upload invoices using one of the following methods:
Option 1: Register through the VAT Calculation Services (VCS) program and allow Amazon to create invoices for you. This option is illustrated in orange boxes in the following flow chart.
Option 2: Register through the VAT Calculation Services (VCS) program, use the Amazon tax calculation data to create invoices, and then upload the invoices to Amazon using the Selling Partner API (SP-API). This option is illustrated in blue boxes in the following flow chart.
Option 3: Create your own invoices using your tax data and upload the invoices to Amazon using either the SP-API, or manually through Seller Central (this option does not use VCS). This option is illustrated in green boxes in the following flow chart.
