Learn How Sellers Authorize Service Providers
Learn how sellers authorize service providers to access their Seller Central account.
This guide explains the steps that a seller takes to authorize a service provider to access the seller's Seller Central account. If you're a service provider, you might need to guide a seller through this process.
Overview
The authorization process requires the seller and the service provider to complete specific steps:
- The seller sends an invitation link to the service provider.
- The service provider accepts the invitation and sends a confirmation request.
- The seller accepts the confirmation and grants specific permissions.
Prerequisites
Before this process begins:
- The seller must have an active Seller Central account.
- The service provider must be registered in Solution Provider Portal.
- The service provider must have completed the developer verification process.
Steps for sellers to grant access
To authorize a service provider to access the seller's Seller Central account, the seller takes the following steps:

Sign in to Seller Central.

Choose Settings, and then choose User Permissions.

Under User Management, choose the Authorized Partners tab.

Choose Add Authorized Partner.

In the pop-up window, choose Copy link to copy the one-time invitation link.

Send the copied link to your service provider through email or through another messaging platform.
Tip
The invitation link works regardless of your marketplace location.
The link expires after seven days.

Wait for the service provider to accept the invitation.
When the service provider accepts the invitation, you receive an email confirmation and must log in to Seller Central to complete the next steps.

After you receive confirmation of the Service Provider's invite acceptance:
- Sign in to Seller Central.
- Choose Settings, and then choose User Permissions.
- Choose Open Invitations.
- Next to the service provider's name, choose Accept Invitation.
- Select the Seller Central role permissions that you want to grant to the service provider.
- Choose Save Changes.
You can change this access at any time by returning to the Authorized Partners tab.
Steps for service providers to request access
As the service provider, you need to complete the access request using the seller's invitation link.
To request access to a seller's account, take the following steps:

Receive the invitation link from the seller.

As the primary account user or admin, sign in to your Solution Provider Portal account.

You must be signed in as the primary account user or admin before starting this process.

Open the invitation link that the seller provided.

Review the details in the invitation.

Choose Send Invitation to confirm all details and send your access request.
After you send the invitation, the seller receives a notification. The seller must then accept your request and grant specific permissions before you can access their account.
