The Finances API v2024-06-19 provides a more standardized and streamlined approach to accessing financial transaction data compared to the Finances API v0. Key differences include:

  • Standardized transaction information: The Finances API v2024-06-19 includes standardized transaction information, which provides a single, reliable source for all transaction data. The API standardizes the transaction information that can affect a seller, eliminating the need to investigate and integrate with dozens of event types using the Finances API v0.

  • Marketplace level transactions: The Finances API v2024-06-19 includes the ability to review the marketplace associated with a transaction. This function was not available in the Finances API v0, where the currency of a transaction was used to infer which marketplace the transaction came from.

Per customer feedback, we have made additional information available in the Finances API v2024-06-19, including standardized posted dates and marketplace IDs to better explain transactions in full.
