As Developers, you are aware of the Apache Log4j vulnerabilities published in December 2021, including but not limited to (CVE-2021-4104, CVE-2021-45046, CVE-2021-44228). This notice is to remind all Selling Partner API developers to ensure that all systems containing Amazon data are protected from the recently disclosed Log4j vulnerabilities.

As previously announced, Amazon is launching new Product Types across XSDs worldwide.

On January 20, 2022, an escaping issue was identified affecting most Selling Partner API operations resulting in escape characters, such as quotes (") and backslashes (\), being double-escaped in API request and response payloads. This issue has been resolved. Please review the remainder of this announcement to determine if your application was impacted by this issue and if any follow up actions are necessary.
