UPDATE: Discontinued Support - LWA Tokens can no longer retrieve PII in Selling Partner API

📘

Note: Updated announcement information

This announcement contains updated information regarding the previous announcement Important Notice: Discontinued Support - LWA Tokens can no longer retrieve PII in Selling Partner API.

Update: We previously announced that Developer applications must use the new access protocol via the Tokens API and Restricted Data Token (RDT) to make successful calls to retrieve Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in the Selling Partner API and were discontinuing support of LWA tokens to retrieve PII. To minimize disruption to existing workflows, we will continue to support retrieving PII using either RDT or LWA tokens. There is no change to existing workflow requirements.

Some operations may require the use of RDT currently to retrieve PII. The API operations that may require RDT are:

  • Orders
    • GetOrderAddress
    • GetOrderItemsBuyerInfo
    • GetOrders
