Announcing Vendor Central Self-Authorization
As of October 18, 2022, Vendor Central has replaced the current developer console authorization page with a self-authorization page. This self-authorization page enables users to create authorization grants and generate refresh tokens for multiple vendor groups to a single application. This reduces the need to create identical applications for each individual vendor group for authorization.
Additionally, vendors are able to authenticate with another set of credentials while remaining logged in to their Vendor Central account and, upon successful log-in, will be able to create an authorization grant for any vendor groups to which the ephemerally logged-in user has access as well.
Which marketplaces are affected?
This change applies to all marketplaces.
Who is affected?
Vendors with access to authorize multiple vendor groups are affected.
What action is required?
No action is required. The new self-authorization page still supports the ability to generate an SP-API refresh token for the currently selected vendor group, but vendors are also able to generate tokens for other vendor groups to which they have access.
