Report retention policy is changing

Starting May 30, 2024, Amazon will retain generated report documents for varying durations per Report Type. Refer to the Report Type Values articles to identify the specific length of time report documents will be available.

Any reports created via the Reports API will be available for download for the retention duration of the corresponding Report Type. After that period has elapsed, and if you have not downloaded the generated report, you will no longer be able to access the generated report and will have to generate it again.

Who is affected?

All public and private developers who currently use the Reports v2021-06-30 or Reports v2020-09-04 APIs are affected.

What action is required?

No action is required. It is recommended that developers using the Reports API to ensure that generated reports are downloaded promptly.
