Document API

What’s changed: improved parameter description

The description for each Document API parameter has been improved to provide clarity on the purpose.

Ordering API

What’s new: orderDetails in the order level attribute allows retrieval of order information
Supported regions: NA, EU, FE
The orderDetails operation has been added in the order level attributes to allow retrieval of order information using an externalId, a customer-specified identifier that's unique for each order. The order information includes expected delivery date range, shipment tracking ID, and carrier name. The orderDetails operation includes an optional subscription to Amazon Ship Notification Service (SNS). With Amazon SNS subscription, you'll receive real-time order updates through Amazon SNS instead of calling the orderDetails operation.

What’s new: PriceSuppressionDirective in the order level attributes supports gifting
Supported regions: NA, EU, FE
Amazon Business packages are delivered to the recipient with a packing slip that shows the price, shipment, and shipping address information. With the addition of the PriceSuppressionDirective in the order level attributes, the sender can suppress the price detail from the packing slip. The package is delivered to the recipient with the gift receipt and return option.

Reconciliation API

What’s new: InvoiceDetailsByOrderLineItems in the API response
Supported regions: FE
InvoiceDetailsByOrderLineItems operation now returns tax qualified invoice attributes in the API response. This data covers the requirements by the Japan Tax Reform effective October 2023, and can be treated as the original invoice itself. These attributes include, but aren't limited to:

  • invoiceNumber - The ID number of the Invoice or Credit Memo.
  • invoiceDate - The date the Invoice or Credit Memo was issued.
  • invoiceType - Indicate that the data returned is Invoice or Credit Memo. Possible values: STANDARD (for Invoice) and CREDIT_MEMO (for Credit Memo).
  • associatedInvoiceNumber - The invoice number associated with the Credit Memo. This field shows value if the invoiceType is CREDIT_MEMO. For STANDARD invoice, this field shows null.
  • associatedInvoiceDate - The invoice date associated with the Credit Memo. This field shows value if the invoiceType is CREDIT_MEMO. For STANDARD invoice, this field shows null.
  • invoiceIssuer - The details associated with the issuer of the invoice..
  • name - The name of the issuer.
  • registrationNumber - The tax registration number associated with the issuer of the invoice. For Japan, this is the Japan Consumption Tax number (JCT#).
  • billToAddress - The address information to which the Invoice or Credit Memo was issued.
  • sellerInformation - The details associated with the original seller of the products.
  • name - The name of the seller.
  • registrationNumber - The tax registration number (JCT#).
  • orderDate - The date and time the order was placed. The date follows the ISO 8601 format, yyyy-MM-ddThh:mm:ssZ.
  • currencyCode - The three-digit currency code, in ISO 4217 format.
  • invoiceTotal - Sum of all charges specified in the invoice, including products, applicable taxes, and any additional fees.
  • tax - The tax amount and rate the buyer pays for the product and services.
  • rate - The tax rate.
  • exclusiveTotal - The tax-exclusive total against the associated tax rate.
  • inclusiveTotal- The tax-inclusive total against the associated tax rate.
  • amount- The tax total amount against the associated tax rate.

What’s new: badges attribute
Supported regions: NA, EU, FE
badges attribute has been added in offers object to indicate if an offer contains any badge. For example, if the badges attribute contains "JCT", it means that specific offer is JCT (Japan Consumption Tax) compliant. If the badge attribute is empty, no badge is available.

Reconciliation API

What’s new: invoiceDate feature has been activated for Amazon Business CA
Supported regions: NA, EU, and FE

The invoiceDate feature of Reconciliation API has been activated for Amazon Business CA in NA region. Before this release, only Amazon Business US in NA region benefit from the invoiceDate feature. With this release, Reconciliation API invoiceDate is now available in NA, EU, and FE regions.

Reconciliation API returns invoiceDate with corresponding invoiceNumber for the given order line items. This allows customers to tie transactions back to Invoice PDFs. The invoiceDate format is YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. Timezone is UTC.

Document API

What’s new: Document API supports Amazon Business US
Supported regions: NA, EU, and FE

The Document API now supports the Amazon Business US in NA region. Before this release, the Document API was only available in EU and FE regions.

📘

Amazon Business CA marketplace in NA region isn't supported in this release. Consolidated invoice isn't supported in JP.

The Document API allows Amazon Business customers to retrieve invoice documents. This will return consolidated Pay by Invoice PDF invoice document for the given invoiceId, allowing customers to tie transactions back to Invoice documents.
