March 2023 SP-API Release Announcement

Updated Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) Inventory API adds nextToken configuration

The token provided by nextToken will expire after 30 seconds. Using an expired nextToken will result an error. This resolves an error with blank responses for nextToken and startDateTime. The updated configuration launches April 10, 2023.

Updated Orders API supports confirmShipment operation

The confirmShipment operation allows selling partners to submit shipment confirmation, confirm shipment status, and edit shipments in real-time for a specified order--even after the order has been shipped. The new operation is included in the new Orders API Use Case Guide, which guides selling partners on how retrieve orders information.

New Fulfillment Outbound API Dynamic Sandbox operations

The Fulfillment Outbound API Dynamic Sandbox provides a secure space for developers to test their code integrations, build proof-of-concept applications, and explore the capabilities of the off-Amazon fulfillment process without interfering with production systems. The sandbox allows developers to experiment with the Fulfillment Outbound APIs in an isolated environment that emulates production responses, giving them the confidence to know that their code works before going live with Amazon production.

The dynamic sandbox operations include the new submitFulfillmentOrderStatusUpdate sandbox-only operation, which can be used to move a Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) order through the various stages of virtual order fulfillment or cancellation.

Developer documentation updates

New Listings Items support documentation

The Listings Items API has three new pages to address frequently asked questions:

These pages provide information on frequently asked questions, clarify issue codes and how to resolve them, and detail how to handle footwear and apparel sizes.

New Feeds attributes directory

The new Feeds Attributes pages provide an easy way to search for what attributes are included in the various feeds.

Vendor report schemas on GitHub

We’ve expanded our library of report schemas on GitHub:

  • The vendorSalesReport.json report shares data on the sales performance of vendor's items both at an aggregated level (across the vendor's entire catalog of items) and at a per-ASIN level. Data is available at different date range aggregation levels: DAY, WEEK, MONTH, QUARTER, YEAR. Requests can span multiple date range periods.
  • The Net Pure Product Margin (vendorNetPureProductMarginReport.json) report shares data with vendors on Amazon's profit margin selling the vendor's items both at an aggregated level (across the vendor's entire catalog of items) and at a per-ASIN level. Data is available at different date range aggregation levels: DAY, WEEK, MONTH, QUARTER, YEAR. Requests can span multiple date range periods.
  • The vendorInventoryReport.json report shares inventory data of a vendor's items both at an aggregated level (across the vendor's entire catalog of items) and at a per-ASIN level. Data is available at different date range aggregation levels: WEEK, MONTH, QUARTER, YEAR. Requests can span multiple date range periods.
  • The vendorForecastingReport.json report forecast customer demand of your products for production and inventory planning purposes.
