Deprecation of Catalog Items v0 API

Effective March 31, 2026, the listCatalogCategories operation will no longer be available for sellers. As a result, the entire Catalog Items v0 API will no longer be supported in the Selling Partner API. Applications that rely on this API must migrate to Catalog Items v2022-04-01 API to avoid service disruption.

Who is affected?

Developers whose applications are authorized by selling partners using the Catalog Items v0 API.

Which marketplaces are affected?

This change applies to all marketplaces.

What action is required?

If you have an application that is affected by this change, you must migrate to Catalog Items v2022-04-01 API and ensure that your applications do not use the Catalog Items v0 API after March 31, 2026.

Catalog Items API v2022-04-01 includes a new includedData query parameter option classifications, which replaces the deprecated MWS GetProductCategoriesForSKU and GetProductCategoriesForASIN operations. You can use classifications to browse the classification trees assigned to an ASIN.
